Participatory installation, Jardí Botànic de Barcelona, 2025. In collaboration with Alicia Monreal, Guus Vandeweerd, and Eponine Leahy
A participatory outdoor installation inviting the public to inscribe personal content — fears, burdens, wishes for transformation — on handmade biodegradable paper using herbal ink, then offer it to the elements: burning, burying, or releasing to the wind.
Embedded within a foraging and cooking event designed by Alicia Monreal and Guus Vandeweerd, the work draws on Federici's critique of capitalism's suppression of collective practice and Haraway's notion of "making-with" — ritual as a political gesture, an embodied refusal of productivity and isolation.
Rooted in neo-pagan practice, posthumanism, and feminist theory.
The sound accompanying the video is an original composition created for this work — a first in the artist's practice. Field recordings captured on site during the ritual are layered with coded music generated in SuperCollider and edited in Waveform 13. The piece marks an early move toward sonic research that has since developed into an ongoing PhD investigation into sound, embodiment, and AI mediation.
All participants documented with consent.
